Marijns eenmalige filmrubriek

Vandaag staan we stil bij "Bassie en Adriaan en de huilende professor" (1982).

Sensitive treatment of intellectual isolation, 24 November 2002

 Once again, the Van Toor brothers deal with an important social problem in this engaging and well-written TV series. Far from capitalising on the traditional portrayal of the 'mad professor', they show a retired scientist continually unable to face the world and reality, forcing him to resort to crime. This is a detour from the traditional Van Toor films, where the chief protagonists Bassie and Adriaan take up the egregious Baron. It tones down the traditional dialectism of the series in favour of a far more subtle approach. In the process, we see how the tortured figure of the crying professor slowly falls to pieces and succumbs to his own delusions. But there are many more sides to the story, making this the most sincere of the Van Toor productions.

Bale Out pt. 2

Vanwege het overdonderende succes van het vorige bericht over het snappen van Patrick Bateman - pardon, Christian Bale - een follow upje. Ik kan er geen genoeg van krijgen. Hier in de remix met Marco van Basten na zijn laatste - teleurstellende - resultaat in de wedstrijd tegen Heracles Almelo (2-2). 'What don''t you fucking understand!?'

Als extraatje hebben we ook nog de 'Carl Nooten-remix'. Zwaai. stap uit. En zwaai.

Zelfs Stephen Colbert doet mee! We are taking over your radiooooooooooo.

Bateman gaat ballistisch

Christian Bale gaat helemaal mental tijdens de opnames van zijn nieuwe film, en dan is het genieten geblazen. Slachtoffer van de verschroeiende metafuck tirade is een arme Director of Photography, die het waagt het blikveld van meneer te betreden tijdens de opnames van een gevoelige scene. Primadonna gedrag op zijn best. Wa-wa-wa-waanzinnig. Sinds de briljante vertolking van Patrick Bateman in American Psycho geldt natuurlijk Bale = held. 'Is that a rain coat? - Yes it is!'

Kortom, een must hear! Check ook de remix.

Nog een rondvraag voor de lezers: moet je hiervoor nou je neus vol coke hebben of is dit een normale reactie?
